Polyamide / Nylon

Spandex itself is not used as a standalone fabric, but rather as an elastic fiber blended with nylon or polyester. A higher spandex content results in better elasticity and resilience, providing a more snug fit and greater freedom of movement. PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) is a special polyester that is chlorine-resistant, light-resistant, has high colorfastness, and good elasticity and resilience, making it commonly found in training swimwear or team swimsuits.
